The worry of worrying

With another national lockdown starting tomorrow here in the UK, there is once again a feeling of unrest, uncertainty, lack of control and anxiety about how long we will have to deal with this for. And the honest answer is, none of us know.

I read a book recently that talked about how we can be responsible for limiting our own potential for growth by the act of worrying. If you find yourself worrying (errrr ALL.THE.TIME), it gives you 2 questions to ask yourself:

1. Is it a real possibility?

In other words, is what you are worrying about actually going to happen? Is what you're worrying about justified? (The answer here might well be yes to some things!)

2. Is there any action I can take right now to make a positive difference?

And to this the answer is always YES. There is always something you can do to make a positive difference, even if that’s just adjusting your mindset a little.

None of us hold all the answers to what we are facing at the moment, or to how the future will look. My only advice right now is:

STACK THE ODDS IN YOUR FAVOUR

Do what you can. Commit to being the best that you can be. Make a choice every day to be grateful for what you already have, and commit to doing what you can to have your absolute best future for yourself and your family. That’s what you can control and that’s what matters.

I’m on a mission to help as many people as possible improve their physical and mental health, pandemic or not! Together I truly believe that we are stronger. It sucks that we are closing everything down once again, but that didn’t stop us last time, and it won’t stop us now!

If you need support stacking those odds in your favour, I am here and ready to chat, so let me know!
