What's the story?

We all have a story.

Our experiences throughout life starting from our early years, give us a narrative that we repeat to ourselves time and time again. That narrative can vary from person to person but is usually self deprecating.

- Why am I like this?

- Life will always feel hard for me

- Why can’t I be like everyone else?

- What is wrong with me?

Whenever we feel challenged and things are feeling hard in life, we revert back to our internal narrative as a form of comfort. As I have said before, a familiar story feels more comfortable and less work than continuing to work through the negative emotions.

We have all experienced trauma in our lives, circumstances that have left us feeling like an empty shell. Situations where we have wondered how we will every find the mental or physical strength to ever get past it.

And I guarantee you, you have all reached a point and said: Enough is enough. I choose a different outcome.

At some point, you have dug deep, mustered all of your energy, had a serious word with yourself and made a change.

As we chase our goals, it can feel the same. We all reach a point where we stumble. You will be tired, you will feel exhausted and you will question once again “What is wrong with me?”

Nothing is wrong with you.

I am here to remind you - you are not your story.

If you are not where you want to be right now, commit to waking up tomorrow, shift your mindset, remind yourself how strong you are, how capable you are, and how you can achieve whatever you set your mind too.

Regroup, adjust and refocus.

Don’t believe that negative story in your head. You have overcome SO much to get here, and the best is yet to come!

If you need support, I am here to chat so let me know.

Have a great week and I can’t wait to see you all show up in all your strength! 💪🏽
